 En la versión de 1940 los protagonistas de esta historia de enredos son Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, James Stewart y Ruth Hussey como la fotógrafa Señorita Imbrie, que, de la forma más indiscreta posible, va sacando su cámara de fotos Argus C3 para tomar imágenes de los momentos menos oportunos entre los protagonistas.

 La Argus C3 fue una cámara telemétrica muy popular con un coste que rondaba los 25 dólares.
 Su calidad era muy limitada, y, hasta un poco, complicada de utilizar, y, encima, su peso era de cerca de un kilo.
 Pero, a pesar de todo, se vendió muy bien hasta cerca de los años sesenta.
